The French architect Thierry W. Despont works out of New York. He is responsible for the interior design of Bill Gates’s home residence in Seattle, as well as the new ”Getty Center” in Los Angeles.

 

For the pictured private residence in Palm Beach, Florida, Despont custom designed the windows and doors, which were built by KORN. The particular challenge for this project lay with two-hurricane proof, 30’-0” x 20’-0”, floor-recessed hydraulic window units. One unit faces the ocean and the other a tropical garden.
